Are you in the search of information on how to put the analytics code in your website pages? We would like to suggest on the same.

Our suggestion partakes to the recent research conducted by the Dennis Mortensen and the Index Tools team on better placement of the analytics code.

The test:
In that test they considered two different websites and placed the code in bottom and top of the pages. The scripts were same, except that they fed their data into 2 different Index Tools accounts.

The findings:
The test showed that if your page loads under 3 or 4 seconds, you can continue keeping your Javascript at the bottom, and remove any risk related to analytics vendor downtime. However, if your page load time is above of 4 seconds, it would be better to place your analytics Javascript at the top of the web page.

Hence, whether to make those Javascrips appear on the ‘top’ or show up at the ‘bottom’ – before taking a decision, take your pick in terms of the time that your website takes to launch it.
