The Challenge
Vivababy.com is an online store offering furniture, apparel, gifts, and care products for babies and kids. The client was looking to enhance sales in his website. For this, he needed to increase the visibility of his website in search engines with keywords related to the products he sold. A major challenge was the high competition in the industry, for which the client needed his website to be aggressively optimized for best possible ranking over a whole lot of competitor websites.

The response
The biggest challenge in promoting VivaBaby.com was the 2,000 dynamic pages, most of which were under penalty. The penalization had to be removed before any promotional activity could be undertaken. Hence, the strategy adopted by the team initially focused on this.

Once the penalization was removed, the team started working on the architecture of the website and refining the code to enhance the search engine friendliness of the website. This was followed by organic optimization efforts which included creating title and meta information, keywords, etc. The team also developed an admin panel to make the dynamic pages search engine friendly. A series of off-page optimization practices were also simultaneously undertaken keeping in mind the business of the client, the targeted audience, and usability.

During the entire course of the project, the team kept a firm watch on competitive websites and ongoing search engine behaviors and implemented instant remedial steps so that the results were not delayed.
