San Francisco, 19 March 2010 – Google has launched a new tool called as ‘Nearby’ that is available in its search options panel. This option helps filter search results based on the current location of a user.

This tool will be very helpful, especially for travelers who can easily find nearby hotels, restaurants, food blogs etc., to fulfill their need of the moment.

This tool can be found in the search options panel on the left hand side of the search page. The same can be viewed by clicking on the ‘show options’ link on top of the Google search page. The geographical search can be narrowed down form ‘country’, ‘region’, ‘state’ to ‘city’ level.

This option is currently available only with the English version of Google.com.
