 San Fransisco, 5 November 2009 - Google has launched a new search solution named as ‘Google Commerce Search’ last week that would enable users to search for online retail enterprises specifically.

This feature will not be free but will come at an yearly cost of $50000. For every country Google operates in, Google Commerce Search will cover the top thousand online retailers from each.

This new feature is integrated with Product search services and with Google Base, which is Google’s Merchant Center in which major retailers submit their data to be crawled by Google. This data is shown on Google’s shopping search engine when a relevant query is made. Other than these, Google Analytics is also integrated with Google commerce Search.

According to Google Enterprise Search product manager, Nitin Mangtani, since most websites do not have good search facilities, Google Commerce Search would be smarter and would make searching easier.

Users of Google Commerce Search would not be required to enter exact search term as expected by the retailers but also shows results for synonyms and misspellings.

Google Commerce Search is more user-friendly and lets users reach the right products quickly.
