San Fransisco, 9 September – The 9^th version of iTunes, the Apple software for media management was launched by the company CEO Steve Jobs at an event named Rock and Roll on the 9^th of September, 2009.

iTunes 9 comes with many features like iTunes LP for audio albums. Through this feature, some bonus materials like linear notes, animation lyrics, photos and videos would also be available to the users to enhance their overall experience when they download the complete albums.

iTunes Extra is another feature for videos through which users would get some extras that they would have previously got in the DVD only, thus eliminating the need of of buying a DVD.

iTunes 9 will also help iPhone and iPod Touch users manage their applications.

Probably the most interesting feature of iTunes 9 would be the Genius Mixes that shuffles songs to create playlists applying its intelligence to determine the right songs in the right sequence so that they mix well with each other.

And finally the Home Sharing feature that lets you share your media with four other local computers.
