Scoopler: Real-Time Social Media Search Engine

A new real-time search engine, named Scoopler is now available and it just may add a much needed search tool for new content on social media sites that Google fails to find in a timely fashion. Scoopler focuses on up-to-the-minute content added to such social networking sites, as Twitter, Digg and Flickr, providing a comprehensive search on a particular subject.

When using standard search engines like Google, the indexing platforms can’t bring up “real-time” content. Social media postings take a while for Google to index.

Scoopler on the other hand, is plugged into social media sites, focusing solely on indexing fresh content from such sites. Live updates from Delicious, Digg, Twitter, Flickr and others are constantly updated in Scoopler’s indexing algorithms. Scoopler even provides links, videos and photos from the social media sites.

Another useful feature is the continuous real time updating that goes on in the background once you key in a search term. When new results are found, they pop up at the top of the page, while the older results scroll down.

Users have reported search results dominated by content from Twitter, but that will soon change.

Scoopler is available at www.scoopler.com in a beta version for users to try.
